    — pull anything visible out before it works through.

  3. Wipe the frame down

    if muddy.

  4. Look at the brake pads

    — any unusual wear?

  5. Listen for any new noises

    as you push the bike — squeaks, clicks, creaks. Address before the next ride if anything new.
