Drais is a bike maintenance app from Haarlem, the Netherlands. It tracks your bikes, parts and wear, logs maintenance and costs, and imports rides, so you know what needs attention before something breaks. It runs on iPhone, Android and the web, works offline, and is free during the open beta.

Drais is for cyclists with one bike or a full garage who want better visibility into maintenance, a clean service history and fewer surprises before a ride.

It's especially useful if you replace chains, tires, brake pads, cassettes, wheels and other parts based on mileage or service intervals.

Drais is available on iPhone (via TestFlight), Android (via Google Play) and as a web app (PWA). The apps are in open beta — no waitlist or invite needed. Drais is offline-first: your garage and maintenance log keep working on a poor connection or with no signal at all.

Yes. You can add as many bikes as you like, free — each with its own parts list, photos, service history, costs, weight and installed parts.

You give parts such as chains, tires, brake pads and cassettes an expected lifespan, and you can log a chain-checker reading. When you record or import rides, Drais updates mileage and wear and flags a chain at the limit for its drivetrain (0.5% on 11- and 12-speed, 0.75% on 10-speed and below, 0.8% on SRAM Eagle, 1.0% on single-speed), so you see what needs attention before something fails. This is an estimate: it doesn't replace inspecting your bike or a service at a shop.

Yes. Drais uses part lifespans, mileage, service intervals and maintenance history to show what needs attention before a part is worn out.

Yes. Drais keeps each bike's service history, installed parts, costs and maintenance notes — so you can show a buyer or a bike shop exactly what work the bike has had.

Yes. Drais tracks DIY and shop maintenance, part prices and costs per bike. Cost per kilometer and a cost forecast are part of Premium (free during the open beta).

Yes. Drais imports rides automatically from Strava and Wahoo, and you can import FIT files. Imported rides count toward the right bike and its parts, so mileage and wear stay up to date without manual entry.

No. Drais only reads the rides you allow it to import and never writes activities back to Strava, Wahoo or any other platform. What you can do is send routes from Drais to your Wahoo head unit.

Garmin Connect is planned but not available yet. Until then, you can import rides as FIT files — the format Garmin devices record in. New integrations follow the same principle: use your ride data to keep bikes, parts, wear and maintenance history current with minimal manual work.

Partly. Strava rides count toward bike and part mileage, but Strava's terms don't let us use them for Insights, forecasts, AI summaries or exports. They still appear in your ride history, and the Strava connection stays free.

Insights and forecasts run on rides you record in Drais, sync from Wahoo or import as FIT files: service and cost forecasts, best efforts, goal pace, ghost rides, AI ride summaries and your Year in sport. If most of your rides come from Strava, connect Wahoo, import FIT files from your bike computer or record rides in Drais to get the full picture.

What we import. Your Strava profile (name, photo and the bikes registered on it) and your cycling activities: distance, duration, elevation, speed and route. When you open an imported ride, Drais also fetches its detail from Strava, which can include heart rate, power, cadence, energy, suffer score, achievement and PR counts and the recording device. Private activities are imported only if you turn them on.

What Drais calculates from it. Each ride adds its kilometers and hours to the bike it is linked to, so your bike mileage, part wear and maintenance reminders stay up to date without typing anything in.

What is never shared. Your Strava data is shown only to you. We never share it with other riders, never use it for AI features or to train AI models, never for analytics or advertising, and never post anything back to Strava.

How to disconnect. In Drais, go to Profile → Connected apps → Strava and tap Disconnect. You can also remove Drais in Strava's own settings; Drais is notified and cleans up the same way.

What is deleted or recalculated within 48 hours. We delete your imported Strava rides, routes and gear links, and recalculate your part mileage from your non-Strava data. Strava-derived bike distance, chain mileage snapshots and reminder mileage baselines are cleared. We also clear the kilometers on maintenance, part-install and part-history records created before September 9, 2026, even if you typed them by hand; the records themselves — dates, parts, notes and costs — stay. Apart from those kilometers, your bikes, the data you entered yourself and data from other apps stay. See the privacy policy for the full statement.

Yes. Every account can export bikes, parts, maintenance and rides as CSV (rides synced from Strava excluded, under Strava's terms), make a full JSON backup and delete the account under Settings → Account → Delete account. Data on your device is wiped immediately and on our servers within 30 days. Privacy and GDPR requests can go to info@drais.app.

No. Drais does not sell personal data and does not use your data for third-party ads. Data you keep private stays private. If you connect Strava or Wahoo, Drais only imports what you authorize. If you use community features — sharing rides, a public profile or group rides — you decide what's shared.

In the app, open Help & support and choose Report a bug or General feedback, or email info@drais.app. A screenshot and the steps to reproduce make a report much more useful.
