Why the right tire pressure differs for every bike
The best pressure is not a fixed number based on bike type or tire width alone. Weight, measured tire size, rim width, casing, surface and moisture all change the support and grip you need. Drais therefore calculates the front and rear separately.

Use the recommendation as a starting point
Always check the limits printed on your tire and rim. Test the result on a familiar route and adjust in small steps: lower for more grip and damping, higher if the tire squirms or the rim makes contact.

What pressure should bike tires be?
It depends on total weight, tire and rim width, bike type, surface and setup. Use the calculator for a personal starting point and always observe the limits printed on the tire and rim.
Should the front tire run less pressure than the rear?
Usually. The rear tire generally carries more weight, while slightly lower front pressure improves grip and comfort. Drais calculates both tires separately.
Can tubeless tires run at lower pressure?
Tubeless removes the inner tube that can pinch and often permits lower pressure. Going too low can still cause rim strikes, instability or air loss.
