Terms of Service.

Drais is operated by Lukasz Klemens, trading as Drais, a sole trader established in the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 64745239. You can reach us at info@drais.app, and our postal address is available on request by email.

info@drais.app is also our single contact point under the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065), both for users of the service and for authorities. We can be contacted in Dutch, English or Polish.

By creating a Drais account you agree to these terms of service and our Privacy Policy. Do not use Drais if you do not agree.

We ask you to accept these terms when you register, and you can download or save a copy at that moment. Every version is published on this page with its version number and date, so you can always check which version you accepted.

Drais helps cyclists manage bikes, components, maintenance, ride history, gear, costs, community activity, marketplace listings, clubs and group rides. Some features depend on device permissions, connectivity, third-party services or account status.

You must be at least 16 years old to create a Drais account. Drais is not directed at children, and if we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16 we will close it and delete the associated data.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for any activity under your account. Provide accurate account information and notify us at info@drais.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

Drais provides tracking, reminders, estimates and organization tools. It is not a substitute for professional mechanical inspection, manufacturer safety notices, manufacturer guidance, road-safety assessment or local law. You remain responsible for maintaining your bike safely and for deciding whether it is fit to ride.

Live group-ride location and SOS are convenience features. They send your location to people you have chosen, using your phone's internet connection and GPS.

They are not an emergency service. Drais does not contact the emergency services, does not monitor alerts, and cannot guarantee that a message is delivered or that anyone will see or act on it. Delivery depends on cell coverage, battery, GPS accuracy, device settings, operating-system restrictions on background apps, and the recipient's own device.

In an emergency, contact the emergency services directly — 112 in the EU. Do not rely on Drais as your only means of getting help. Live sharing is off by default and you can turn it off at any time.

You can choose to connect third-party services, such as activity platforms and bike computers. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Drais may discontinue, change or restrict an integration if the provider's API, policies, pricing or availability change.

Strava. Connecting Strava is optional. By connecting Strava you authorize Drais to use the OAuth scopes shown on the consent screen, and you agree that your use of Strava remains subject to the Strava Terms of Service and the Strava Privacy Policy. Drais has no control over Strava: Strava may change, restrict or revoke API access at any time, and you can revoke Drais's access at any time via Strava's app settings. Drais is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Strava, Inc.

Wahoo. This integration works the same way: optional, authorized through Wahoo's own consent screen, governed by Wahoo's terms, and disconnectable in the app at any time. Drais is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Wahoo Fitness.

8.1 What you must not post. You must not post, send or list content that is illegal; sexually explicit; that sexualizes or endangers minors; that harasses, bullies, threatens or incites violence against anyone; hate speech or content attacking people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation; content promoting self-harm; content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy; spam, scams or misleading listings; malware; or listings for stolen bikes or parts, counterfeit components, recalled safety-critical parts, weapons, or any item you may not lawfully sell.

8.2 Reporting and blocking. Every post, listing, chat message, profile and club in Drais can be reported from within the app. You can block any user, which stops them contacting you and hides their content from you. We review reports and aim to act within 24 hours, and always within 7 days.

8.3 How we moderate. We may remove content, restrict its visibility, or suspend or terminate an account where content or behavior is illegal or breaches these terms. We decide on the basis of reports from users and authorities, our own review, and a limited set of automated signals used to flag suspected spam, scam listings, duplicate accounts and abusive language. Automated signals only flag content for review — a person at Drais makes the decision. We apply these rules in a diligent, objective and proportionate manner, and with due regard to your fundamental rights, including your freedom of expression.

Listings, sales, payments, shipping and meet-ups are arranged directly between users. Drais is not a party to those transactions, does not process payment for them, does not verify items or sellers, and does not provide escrow, buyer protection or dispute resolution. Meet in a public place, check frame and component serial numbers, and inspect the item before paying.

Who you are buying from. The marketplace is intended for private sales between individuals. When you create a listing you must declare whether you are acting as a private individual or as a business (a "trader"). Commercial and business listings are not permitted without our prior written agreement.

Where the seller has declared that they are not a trader, EU and Dutch consumer protection law does not apply to your purchase. That means you have no statutory right of withdrawal, and none of the statutory conformity and warranty rights you would have when buying from a business. You are contracting directly with the other user.

How listings are ranked. By default, marketplace listings are ordered by how recently they were posted, then by distance from you, then by relevance to your search terms. We do not accept payment for higher placement.

Anyone — whether or not they use Drais — can report content they consider illegal, using the Report option on a post, listing, profile or message, or by emailing info@drais.app.

To let us act, please include: an explanation of why you consider the content illegal; the exact location of the content (a link, listing ID or screenshot); your name and email address (not required for reports concerning child sexual abuse material or offenses under Articles 3 to 7 of Directive 2011/93/EU); and a statement that you believe in good faith that the information in your report is accurate and complete.

We will confirm receipt without undue delay, decide in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary and objective manner, and tell you our decision and how you can challenge it. This section implements Article 16 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065.

Serious crimes. If we become aware of information giving rise to a suspicion that a criminal offense involving a threat to the life or safety of a person has taken place, is taking place or is likely to take place, we will inform the competent law enforcement or judicial authorities.

If we remove or restrict your content, or suspend or terminate your account, we will tell you without undue delay: what we did and how long it lasts, the facts and circumstances we relied on, whether we used automated means, the term or law we relied on, and how you can respond.

You can challenge any such decision by emailing info@drais.app within 6 months. A person will review it and reply within 14 days. If you disagree with the outcome you may bring the matter before the Dutch courts, and you may complain to the Autoriteit Consument & Markt (ACM), the Dutch Digital Services Coordinator.

You retain ownership of the content you add to Drais — bike records, photos, videos, service notes, posts, listings and messages. You grant Drais the limited rights needed to host, display, sync, back up, process and administer the service. Do not upload content for which you do not have permission.

Drais includes free core features and an optional Drais Premium subscription, offered on monthly and annual auto-renewing plans. The current local price, billing period, taxes and any store offer are displayed before you confirm a purchase. A user-initiated 14-day promotional trial may be available once per eligible Drais account; it does not require a payment method, does not automatically become a paid subscription and does not renew. A paid App Store or Google Play subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it through that store before the renewal date.

If Premium ends, your existing Drais data is not deleted. Premium tools become unavailable, and if your photos exceed the free plan's 500 MB you cannot upload new ones until you are back under that limit or subscribe again, as explained in the app.

If you buy a subscription through Google Play or the App Store, that store is your counterparty for the purchase, and the store's terms govern payment, your statutory right of withdrawal and refunds. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Google Play or App Store account settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under EU and Dutch law.

You may not abuse Drais, interfere with security or sync systems, scrape the service, reverse-engineer restricted parts of the app, attempt unauthorized access, harass users — including through chat, voice messages or live location — or use Drais to enable fraud, theft or unsafe activity.

Drais is currently in open beta. Features may change, be withdrawn, or not work as intended, and data loss is possible although we take backups. Some features are released in an early-access program and are labeled as such in the app.

When you join the beta we ask you to accept this separately, because it means the service may deviate from what you would normally be entitled to expect from software of this type. That acceptance does not affect your rights in respect of safety or security, or our liability for death or personal injury, intent or gross negligence, and it does not apply to any paid subscription.

We may improve, update, suspend or discontinue features. Drais is provided with reasonable care, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect synchronization or error-free operation.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for intent or gross negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Dutch or EU law — including your statutory rights in respect of the conformity of digital content and digital services under Articles 7:50aa and following of the Dutch Civil Code.

Subject to the paragraph above, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the service in that period and (b) EUR 250.

We are not a party to, and are not liable for, transactions, meet-ups or rides arranged between users. This does not affect your rights against the other user.

You can stop using Drais and delete your account at any time, from Settings → Account → Delete account in the app or at drais.app/en/delete-account.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, create risk for other users or use the service unlawfully. Except where the breach is serious — in particular illegal content, fraud, or conduct that creates a risk to the safety of other users — we will notify you first, explain the problem, and give you a reasonable opportunity (normally 14 days) to put it right before we suspend or terminate your account. In every case we will give you a statement of reasons and a route to challenge the decision under section 11.

You can export your data before, or within 30 days after, termination. If we ever terminate a paid subscription other than for your breach, we will refund the unused part of the period you have paid for.

We may change these terms, for example to reflect new features, security requirements or changes in the law. We will notify you of any significant change at least 30 days in advance, by email and by an in-app notice.

If you do not agree to the change, you may stop using Drais and delete your account before it takes effect; if you have a paid subscription we will refund the unused part of the period you have paid for. Changes required by law, or needed urgently for security, may take effect immediately, and we will tell you as soon as possible.

Editorial corrections (October 2, 2026). We removed references to an activity-platform integration that is not yet offered, named Polish as a support language (section 1), reworded the free-plan limits explanation (section 13), and brought the English page in line with US spelling conventions (organization, authorized, sexualizes, behavior, offense/offenses, program, labeled, synchronization, judgment, cell coverage). No clause changed in substance, and the terms version remains v 2.1.

These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer resident in another EU or EEA country, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. You may also always bring proceedings in the Netherlands.

If you obtained Drais from the Apple App Store, your use of the app is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. You acknowledge that these terms are concluded between you and Lukasz Klemens (trading as Drais) only, and not with Apple; that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Drais; that Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to Drais, including product liability, legal-compliance and intellectual-property claims; and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

If you obtained Drais from Google Play, Google Play's own terms apply to the download and to any purchase you make through it.
