Estimated wear, updated after every ride
Replace the chain at 0.5% wear on 11- and 12-speed, 0.75% on 10-speed and below, 1.0% on single-speed, or 0.8% on SRAM Eagle 12-speed (Park Tool and SRAM guidance). Drais is built around a simple principle: the data about your bikes belongs to you. Not to a platform that could lock you out of it a few years from now. Not to an advertiser. Not to a sponsor.
Works offline
Works without a connection. Record a ride, log a service, measure your chain — everything you do on the road syncs in the background once you're back online.
Exportable
Export your bikes, parts, maintenance and rides as CSV, or save a full JSON backup — free, at any time. PDF reports are part of Premium. Rides synced from Strava can't be exported under Strava's terms.
Deletable
Delete your account in the app under Settings → Account, with one confirmation step. Data on your device is wiped immediately, and on our servers within 30 days.
EU-hosted & GDPR-compliant
2FA, biometric unlock and hosting in the EU: the database in Ireland, the app and website in Frankfurt. A few processors may handle data outside the EEA; the privacy policy names them. We don't sell your data — it's not our business model.
The founder
Built by cyclists who needed this themselves.
I'm Lukasz Klemens, the founder of Drais. I ride around Haarlem on a gravel bike and a full-suspension mountain bike, and my toolbox actually gets used.
I started Drais because the details that matter to cyclists — chain wear, service history, part swaps, receipts, costs, even who's riding this weekend — were scattered across notes apps, Gmail, WhatsApp, spreadsheets and too many other apps.
So we built one place for all of it.

Beautifully.
But it doesn't track which brake pads are on which bike, when your chain reaches its wear limit, or what that bottom-bracket service cost last spring. Drais does.

Does it really work offline?
Yes. You can record a ride, log a service and post in a group chat without a signal. Drais keeps everything on your device and syncs it in the background once you're back online. Conflicts between devices are resolved automatically.
Is the garage free? And what will Drais cost later?
The core garage — bikes, parts, wear and maintenance history — stays free forever, with no time limit. Premium adds wear and cost forecasts, the service planner, cost per kilometer, AI ride summaries and PDF reports. During the open beta, Premium is free for everyone. After that it costs €3.99 per month or €29.99 per year, and we'll tell you well before the beta ends. Compare Free and Premium.
What about my privacy?
Drais runs on servers in the EU: the database in Ireland, the app and website in Frankfurt. A few processors, such as crash reporting, analytics and the optional AI assistant, may process data outside the EEA; the privacy policy lists them all. You get 2FA, biometric unlock and free CSV and JSON export, and you can delete your account right in the app. We don't sell your data — it's not our business model.
Where can I download Drais?
Drais is in open beta: install it on iPhone through TestFlight or on Android through Google Play, with no waiting list. On any other device, use the web app at app.drais.app — you can also install it as a PWA.
Can I import my existing maintenance history?
For now, you enter it by hand. Bulk import from spreadsheets and other apps is planned.
I'm not in a club or group. Is Drais still useful?
Yes. It's useful from day one even if you ride alone: garage, maintenance, rides and workshop tools all work without the community features.
