Remove wheels
for thorough cleaning. -
Apply degreaser
to the chain, cassette, chainrings, and derailleur pulleys. Let sit 2–3 minutes. -
Scrub drivetrain
with a stiff brush. A chain cleaning device speeds the chain part. -
Apply soap
to the entire frame. -
Scrub frame, wheels, and components
with a soft brush. -
Rinse thoroughly
— make sure no soap residue remains on rotors or pads (they're sensitive to contamination). -
Dry with a microfiber towel.
